Sarah Coleman
Manager, Performing Arts & Business Center

Sarah Coleman joined the Cultural Development Corporation in October 2005. As Manger, Performing Arts & Business Center, Sarah is responsible for administering the Residency Program for emerging arts organizations and executing the Roundtable Series. Sarah coordinates the Mead Theatre Lab Program, managing a six-member Advisory Panel and the recruitment, selection and execution of sponsored productions in the theatre lab. She serves at the first point of contact for arts organizations seeking space and works with the Executive Director to respond to requests for technical assistance. Sarah is an associate producer for the Source Festival, the revival of the Washington Theatre Festival. Prior to her current role with CuDC, Sarah oversaw the day-to-day operations of Flashpoint and facilitated the execution of all contracts, worked closely with renters and played an integral role in the Source renovation design process.

Sarah has an extensive background in theatre production, specifically in stage management. In the DC area she has worked at Arena Stage, Discovery Theatre and Catalyst Theater. In addition, she spent three years as a teaching artist with Arena Stage.

A Maine native, Sarah has a Bachelor of Arts in History from Bowdoin College.
