Emma Fisher
Communications Manager

Emma Fisher joined CuDC in August 2008 as the Communications Manager. Emma is responsible for marketing and publicity for CuDC programs, including Source and Flashpoint events, maintaining brand standards, and implementing new communications strategies.

Before she joined CuDC, Emma worked for the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. She was responsible for creating and executing direct marketing programs that raised more than $1.75 million and focused primarily on funding for the restoration of the National Headquarters complex, home to two buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Before moving to Washington, D.C., Emma lived in Berkeley, CA where she served in the AmeriCorps Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) program and worked with AnewAmerica Community Corporation. Prior to being a VISTA, Emma held internships at the West Virginia University Institute for Public Affairs, the West Virginia governor’s office and the Clifford-Niagara Project. She also organized with United Students Against Sweatshops and the Economic Justice Coalition.

Born in Charleston, WV, Emma graduated from West Virginia University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in Sociology and minors in History and English. During this time, Emma completed an economics study abroad program in the Czech Republic where she focused on the transition from communism to capitalism.
