Mary Clark Gaston
Programs Assistant

Mary Clark joined CuDC in August 2008 as the Programs Assistant. She is responsible for providing support to CuDC’s Program Managers, including assisting with the delivery of capacity building services to artists and arts organizations; the presentation of exhibitions in the Mead Theatre Lab and Gallery at Flashpoint; the production of the Source Festival; and the creation of artist housing.

Mary Clark came to CuDC from the Education Department at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts where she served as the Program Assistant for Professional Development for Teachers. Focusing chiefly on the Changing Education Through the Arts (CETA) program, Mary Clark planned and organized over 40 professional development courses/workshops and special events for area teachers, administrators and artists.

A native of Greenville, South Carolina, Mary Clark graduated with honors from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art/Photography. In 2006, she earned her MA in Arts Management and Cultural Policy from University College Dublin. In addition, Mary Clark designs jewelry and artwork for her small business Mary Clark Gaston: Fine Art & Design. Her work can be viewed at maryclarkgaston.com.
