WHAT WE DO

We support 100’s of artists each year through programs and services that help DC’s creative community thrive. At our spaces Flashpoint and Source, we are creating the platforms to deliver art that reaches thousands of residents across the entire DC-metro area.

Cultural Development Corporation’s award-winning programming supports artists of all creative disciplines. Visual artists make headlines at Flashpoint Gallery and performing artists gain new followings at the Mead Theatre Lab at Flashpoint. During Source Festival, 300 members of the creative community join forces to create 3 weeks of new work, including 18 10-minute plays, three full-length plays and four Artistic Blind Dates. Through our housing initiatives, such as Brookland Artspace Lofts and Artist Housing @ Loree Grand, we’re providing affordable live and work spaces for artists working in the District today.
