CONNECT 4: Sam Scharf

MLK Jr. Memorial Library, Great Hall | 901 G St NW Washington, DC 20001

CONNECT 4 is a series of temporary public art projects in the lobby of Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library. This series takes our visual arts program off-site and enlivens the library space with work by local contemporary artists. The participating artists are Brian Davis, Nekisha Durrett, Sam Scharf and Anna Tsouhlarakis.

The third project in the series is Sam Scharf’s two-part installation called Growth and I See You that responds directly to the architecture and public nature of the space. I See You will have a companion piece across the street at Scharf’s Flashpoint Gallery show.

There will be an opening reception with the artist on Tuesday, June 11 from 5-7PM in the lobby of the Library.

CONNECT 4, a CulturalDC public art project is generously supported by the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities and by Timothy Hyde.
