To celebrate its Tenth season, Source Festival 2017 will honor the art and artists who have contributed to its success while introducing Washingtonians to new collaborators and ideas. Highlights include:

  • Perfect Arrangement by Topher Payne, a revival of Source Festival 2013’s smash-hit! Perfect Arrangement went on to be the recipient of the M. Elizabeth Osborn Prize for Best Play by An Emerging Playwright. The play went on to be produced Off-Broadway in 2015 by Primary Stages and MARS Theatricals.
  • Six 10-Minute Plays selected from more than 400 submissions from across the country. These pieces, inspired by Perfect Arrangement, examine instants of revolution on a macro or micro level in an unexpected way. They explore methods and actions that invoke change. This theme sets out to expose tension in a subterranean, surprising, humorous, or clever way.
  • Six “Best-Of” 10-Minute Plays selected from ten years of innovative new work and;
  • Workshops and readings of three Full-Length Play Readings by some of the country’s most inventive playwrights.
