Luce Talk04.30.17

Luce Artist Talks, a partnership between the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s Luce Foundation Center and CulturalDC, feature local artists in the visual and performing arts. Each month, artists share their artistic process and recent projects while highlighting the artists and artworks in the museum’s collection that inspire them.

This month, independent curator and cultural worker Blair Murphy will discuss how she documents and archives the history of arts spaces in downtown Washington, DC. Her exhibition explores how artists have made space in DC and, conversely, how the city has made space for artists.
