Luce Talk05.21.17

Luce Artist Talks, a partnership between the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s Luce Foundation Center and CulturalDC, feature local artists in the visual and performing arts. Each month, artists share their artistic process and recent projects while highlighting the artists and artworks in the museum’s collection that inspire them.

This month, Khánh Lê will discuss the inspirations and motivations behind his work in While we Wait. The exhibition, as with much of Lê’s work, explores how we create identities and how memories can be altered or enhanced.

Khánh Lê: Sunday, May 21 at 1:30pm

Luce Foundation Center
Smithsonian American Art Museum, Third Floor
Free and open to the public

While We Wait will be at Flashpoint Gallery from May 13 through June 3.
