Rachel Burley joined CulturalDC in July 2016. Rachel coordinates the exhibition program at Flashpoint Gallery. She also collaborates with the communications team and provides general administrative support.
Prior to joining CulturalDC, Rachel worked as a Marketing and Communications intern at the Phillips Collection here in DC. She also presided as president of George Washington University’s Gallery 102, where she curated her own exhibition—So Much Depends Upon…—that explored the intersection between language and the visual arts. She was also the president of GWU’s Visiting Artists and Scholars Committee, which organizes annual lecture series for the campus community and broader public.
Rachel is a native Californian. She graduated summa cum laude from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a minor in Political Science. She moved to DC to pursue a Master of Arts in Art History at George Washington University, where she graduated in May 2016. On any given day she can be found engaged in passionate conversations about art, politics, or her two pet guinea pigs.
