Flashpoint Gallery showcases bold, new work and cultivates emerging and mid-career artists working in a variety of media including site-specific installations, performance pieces, new media and other experimental forms. As a nonprofit gallery free from the constraints of commercial expectations, Flashpoint encourages artists and curators to take creative risks.

Each exhibition season is recommended by a panel of eminent arts professionals who review each proposal, select exhibitions and mentor artists. Staff provides guidance and coaching throughout the application process.

An advisory panel of noted artists and arts professionals recommends the programming for the gallery and provides mentorship and support to exhibiting artists. The 2013 – 2014 panel includes: Hasan Elahi, Melissa Ho, Laura Roulet, Luis Silva, Vesela Sretenovic and Henry Thaggert.
