WE MAKE SPACE FOR art

For 20 years, CulturalDC’s mission has been to “Make Space for Art.”

In pursuing our mission, we have brokered over 300,000 square feet of space for artists and arts organizations. We work with real estate developers, artists, city officials, residents and other key stakeholders through creative placemaking initiatives, community-centered engagements, and innovative real estate partnerships that have resulted in cultural success throughout the years.

CulturalDC sees the arts as a driving force in building sustainable communities. We provide a wide range of programs and services that support artists’ ability to live and work in the city. We give audiences access to affordable and accessible cutting-edge visual and performing art from artists living and working today.

Little Shop of Horrors presented by Constellation Theatre Company

October 17-November 17, 2019

Musical comedy is in full bloom this fall with the sci-fi smash hit!

Deep in the run-down neighborhood of Skid Row, timid floral assistant Seymour Krelborn is skyrocketed to fame when he discovers a strange and unusual plant that he names “Audrey II” after his sweet but self-sacrificing coworker. Soon, Seymour has it all – cash, glory, and the girl of his dreams – but his good fortune takes a deadly turn when the rapidly growing Audrey II develops an appetite for human blood.
With a charming doo-wop and Motown-flavored score by Grammy and Academy Award-winning songwriting duo Howard Ashman and Alan Menken (Disney's Beauty and the Beast), Little Shop of Horrors will satisfy your craving for tongue-in-cheek humor, toe-tapping songs, and murderous hijinks.
