aBOUT CULTURALDC

For 20 years, CulturalDC’s mission has been to “Make Space for Art.” In pursuing our mission, we have brokered over 300,000 square feet of space for artists and arts organizations. We work with real estate developers, artists, city officials, residents and other key stakeholders through creative placemaking initiatives, community-centered engagements, and innovative real estate partnerships that have resulted in cultural success throughout the years.

CulturalDC sees the arts as a driving force in building sustainable communities. We provide a wide range of programs and services that support artists’ ability to live and work in the city. We give audiences access to affordable and accessible cutting-edge visual and performing art from artists living and working today.

  1. The Mobile Art Gallery Assistant, in addition to staffing the gallery, helps cultivate our volunteer program and assists with artists’ installation/deinstall. This part-time position reports to the External Engagement Associate.

Comedy and adventure will be our salvation this summer.

WIT’s interplanetary adventure Starship Odyssey will give audiences a dose of sci-fi adventure. iMusical provides escape into the world of musical theater.

Each show is headlined by a WIT ensemble like the ferocious ladies of Hellcat, proud weirdos of Nox!, and outlandish antics of Madeline.
