CulturalDC partnered with Foulger-Pratt to develop and oversee an application and selection process for five artist live/work units in Eckington, NE DC. The artist live/work unites are part of Foulger-Pratt’s ONE501 development, which also includes 18 inclusionary zoning affordable housing units, 327-unit multi-family residential apartment and 6,500 feet of retail on the base level mixed-use development near Alethia Tanner Park.

The five brand-new, thoughtfully designed duplex artist live/work units establishes subsidized space for artists to live and work in the Eckington neighborhood, one of DC’s most prominent cultural corridors. The 1200-1400 square-feet units are two-bedroom, two-bathroom and include a work space, flex/retail space, kitchen, and bathroom with slop sink on the ground floor, and 2-bedrooms and second bathroom on the second floor.

CulturalDC worked with DC Housing and Community Development Fair Housing Program and Foulger-Pratt to ensure applicants meet Affordable Dwelling Unit qualifications.
