Spring 2019: deadline november 2, 2018
CulturalDC is currently looking for interns in the Programs, Marketing & Communications, Development, and Public Art departments. Our internships offer the opportunity to work for and gain experience with an established arts organization in the DC area. Positions require a minimum of 20 hours per week, in addition to 2-3 weekend days per month and some evenings for special events. Interns will have the opportunity to work directly with CulturalDC’s staff members and visual and performing artists. Each position will receive a unique opportunity to learn about the wide variety of programs and services that CulturalDC offers to area artists and organizations.
CulturalDC is a nonprofit organization, founded in 1998, that makes space for art through its programs and services. CulturalDC’s mission is to encourage artistic innovation by connecting artists, arts organizations, developers, and government agencies to facilitate economic and cultural vibrancy in the District of Columbia and neighboring urban communities.
CulturalDC’s Mobile Art Gallery continues our strong history of presenting cutting edge artwork and emerging artists by allowing artists to transform a fully-outfitted 40ft shipping container into an immersive environment. The gallery moves across the city throughout the season with a new exhibit and a different community projects in every neighborhood it visits. CulturalDC’s Performing Arts Program is geared at developing performing artists and performing arts organizations and connecting with communities across Washington, DC.
