REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS: THEATER SPACE AT WATERFRONT STATION, SW DC 

PN Hoffman and CulturalDC are seeking proposals for the lease of a theater cultural space at Waterfront Station 1000 4th Street SW, Washington, DC, 10024.  

With this Request for Proposals (RFP), PN Hoffman and CulturalDC seek to identify a qualified tenant to lease, activate, program, and maintain a new theater and cultural space. The selected tenant will lease the space from PN Hoffman and activate the space for uses primarily related to the arts and culture. The tenant will be a self-sustaining nonprofit or business with five or more years’ experience owning and/or operating a similar space, or equivalent relevant experience, have a desire for organizational growth, and a commitment to community engagement. 

 

Criteria

CulturalDC and PN Hoffman will consider applications based upon the following criteria:  

  • Financial Capacity 

  • Organizational Capacity 

  • District Impact and Engagement 

  • Proposed Plan

  • RFP Responses Due: June 14, 2019 

  • Tenant Selected: Mid-August (TBD) 

  • Lease Signing: Fall 2019

Question Deadline: All questions must be submitted via email by May 15th, 2019 

Answers to all questions of a substantive nature will be provided to all respondents in the form of an addendum to the RFP to be posted on [INSERT WEBSITE LINK HERE]  by May 31st, 2019. It is the responsibility of respondents to ensure they obtain all information pertaining to this RFP and receive all addenda.
